On the other hand, things are not looking good for Pakistan especially after fabulous performance in test series. They are 0-2 down and they lost Mohammad Hafeez who is ruled out of remainder games due to calf injury. Hafeez, who didn’t play the second ODI due to his niggling calf problem, has suffered a minor strain in his left calf. However, the all-rounder is expected to continue his rehabilitation in England but won’t be staying with the squad.

Visitors comes into this do or die situation after 4 wickets loss in second game despite century from wicket-keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed who scored 105 runs. They got of to worst start they could have ever thought, losing three wickets at score of 2 runs in first four overs. Sharjeel Khan, Azhar Ali went without scoring while youngster Sami Aslam struggled for 10 balls to score just 1 run.

Sarfraz Ahmed and Babar Azam start repairing work but Liam Plunkett cleaned up Babar Azam for 30 runs. Till then both batsman resisted any further wickets and added together 64 runs to give Pakistan something out of nothing. Sarfraz Ahmed continued at one end and went on to score brilliant century to bail Pakistan out of any danger. Imaad Wasim payed sensible knock of unbeaten 70-balls 53 runs to made crucial contribution.

Host has done well so far under Eoin Morgan winning both game of One-Day series and they are now on verge of winning series early on if they defeat Pakistan in third game at Trent Bridge.

Bowling have been superb especially form pace bowlers. Addition of Mark Wood certainly have strengthen bowling attack adding to this Ben Stokes has made himself available as bowling option which should be good new for host.

In second ODI at Lord’s pace bowlers grabbed eight wickets, Mark Wood and Chris Woakes claiming three wickets each while Liam Plunkett got 2 wickets.

Host is unlikely to alter their winning combination but visitors will be forced to make one change after Mohammad Hafeez was ruled out due to injury. Sami Aslam is likely to hold top spot, while question is whether Pakistan goes for Umar Gul or retains Yasir Shah in Squad.
