Bangladesh aims bounce back after disappointing first match loss
Bangladesh after disappointing first match loss will be keen to make comeback when they lock horns with England in second ODI at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka on Sunday (08 October). First game saw brilliance of Jake Ball who registered five-wickets haul to his name on debut, match winning inning from all-rounder Ben Stokes and quick fire 63 runs of 38 balls from Jos Buttler.
Nothing can be taken from Ben Duckett who on his debut played sensible inning and helped his team recover from 63/3 along with Ben Stokes. Duo put on 153 runs for the third wicket, which was followed by an explosive 38-ball 63-run cameo from skipper Jos Buttler.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh played good competitive cricket though they lost their way in last phase of chase. They had match in their grasp when Shakib Al Hasan and Imrul Kayes was batting but momentum started to shift with fall of Shakib. Bangladesh suffered a throwback to their fragile old days losing their last six wickets for just 17 runs to give England a morale boosting victory.
Host might look to strengthen their batting by adding Nasir Hossain to the Playing XI replacing Mosharraf Hossain who had tough time in first match. On the other hand, Jonny Bairstow who is struggling with injury can make way for Sam Billings in middle order batting.
Surely, an interesting battle is on the card when these two teams clash with each other. Tomorrow is Sunday, means, atmosphere is expected to be electrifying with huge crowd at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
