Fixture: England vs Pakistan, 2nd Test/ ENG vs PAK
Time/Date: 3:30 PM IST/ 10:00 AM GMT/ 11:00 AM LOCAL/ 22 July
Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester

Losing first test match may add extra pressure on host when they take field on Friday in second test match. In first test batsman failed to apply themselves as they could not stay at crease to play long innings and Yashir Shah managed to send batsman back into the pavilion at regular interval.

James Vince, Gary Ballance, Alex Hales and Joe Root all failed with the bat, falling to the wily leg-spin of Yasir Shah. There are question marks in particular over Vince and Ballance who struggled to stay in the middle.

England will be boosted by the return of pacer James Anderson and all-rounder Ben Stokes, while also calling leg-spinner Adil Rashid into the squad. Chris Woakes was impressive in first test who claimed eleven wickets (6 wkts in first & 5 wkts in second inning) also 10 wickets haul was first of his career.

Yashir Shah (10 wkts) was star when Pakistan created history defeating England by 75 runs to win their first test at Lords in 20 years. However, one must say it was collective effort from Pakistan first Skipper Misbah scored a fabulous century and not to forget contribution made by Asad Shafiq in both innings (73 runs & 49 runs) was valuable in Pakistan’s victory.

Mohammad Amir did well in first match after his comeback as he claimed three wickets but he is expected to perform much better as the series progresses.

Pakistan is expected to take field with same playing eleven which helped them create history while three changes is expected from host including their star bowler James Anderson, Ben Stokes and spinner Adil Rashid.
