Table-topper Guyana Amazon Warriors will take on Jamaica Tallawahs in 15th Match of Caribbean Premier League 2016 on Friday (15 July) [ Sat. 16 July in India] at Kingston, Jamaica.
Guyana Amazon Warriors are leading the table with five wins out of six games they have played so far in fourth edition of Caribbean Premier League. They come into this fixture after comprehensive victory by eight wickets against St Lucia Zouks in their last match.
Skipper Martin Guptill, Chris Lynn have performed and ensured their bowlers hard-work don’t go waste. They are team to beat at this point of CPL 2016 because they have lost only one game. Warriors are expected to go with same squad which played in previous match against St. Lucia Zouks.
Adam Zampa and pace-bowler Sohail Tanvir have performed brilliantly so far and are the top two wicket takers of the tournament with 13 and 12 wickets respectively.
Meanwhile, Jamaica Tallawahs have played only four games with two wins which place them third in points table. They were unlucky to share points with Barbados Tridents in their last match because they were cruising at good pace till match was interrupted by rain. They had raced to 116 for the loss of two wickets in just 10 overs. Skipper Chris Gayle, who has been in brilliant form in the tournament, was at the crease with 47 runs from 20 balls.
Bowling department have disappointed Tallawahs because their pace attack led by Dale Steyn has failed to control flow of runs. He has given away runs at 9.2 runs per over for only two wickets in four matches. They need to lift their bowling level if they want to be in the race of play-offs.
