Andre Russel for his all-round skill was awarded man of the match.
Rovman Powell contribution will be a big positive for Tallawahs as he scored 44 runs off 34 balls to help his team reach total of 158 runs when Tallawahs were tottering at 19/2 in fourth over. Barbados Tridents on other hand are placed third in table with three wins out of six games. Last game they played each other was washed out due to rain which forced them to share points. They may have found themselves lucky because they were hammered by brutal Chris Gayle whose individual score 47 runs of 20 balls looked threatening. But Gayle couldn’t continue his quick-fire cameo and rain did the rest to avoid any damage from big man.
Pollard and his men comes into game with a victory over last placed St. Lucia Zouks by 25 runs. Nicholas Pooran played sensational knock of 81 off 39 balls before he was run out by Andre Fletcher. During the course of his quick fire inning he hit 4 sixes and 9 fours to accelerate Barbados scoring rate as they scored 60 runs in last 5 overs.
There was good support from the bowlers who restricted opposition 148 runs to claim victory in the end. Wayne Parnell and Ravi Rampaul took two wickets each. Rampaul did the damage in top order batting line-up while Parnell did most of the work in later part of the inning.
