Boxing Day will see two side battling in first One-Day International of three-match Series. New Zealand, though looks favorites but opposition have grown up as good competitor in last couple of years. Last time these two met in 2013 when host whitewashed visitors.

New Zealand will relish home condition after back to back defeat at the hands of India and Australia. Few players returns to the squad likes of Luke Ronchi and Neil Broom who adds strength to the top order. Once again, Martin Guptill and Tom Latham will be expected to give solid start in front of home crowd.

Trent Boult and Tim Southee, two finest pacers will lead the pace attack while Lockie Ferguson and Colin de Grandhomme will serve as supporting role. With Mitchell Santner in squad, New Zealand will expect him to keep things under control when it comes to spin bowling.

Tamim Iqbal, an experienced opener for Bangladesh has been in good form recently. He is expected to open with another inform batsman Imrul Kayes. Mahmudullah looked in good knick against New Zealand XI in practice match where he scored 43 runs and retired out later.

Mustafizur Rahman is set to make a comeback after five-month layoff due to surgery on his left shoulder. He claimed two wickets in practice game against New Zealand XI so it will be interesting how he performs under pressure.
