Simona Halep got past Kerber Challenge to enter final of Rogers Cup 2016

Simona Halep have reached Final of Rogers Cup 2016 defeating World No. 2 Angelique Kerber in three sets 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 in semifinal in Montreal, Canada.

First set was like walk on cake for Romanian when she decimated her opponent 6-0 but Kerber fought back in second set to grab 6-3. Eventually, Romanian gave all she had to win third set and book her berth in final of Rogers Cup 2016. Now she awaits either Madison Keys or Kristina Kucova to complete final fixture.

Now, she has reached Montreal final two years in a row, last year she lost when she opt to retire against Belinda Bencic at 7–6(7–5), 6–7(4–7), 3–0. However, this time she looks in fine form and there is no injury concern.
