Bangladesh tussle India for place in final

Two Asian countries with crazy fans are set to battle in semifinal of eighth edition of ICC Champions Trophy. It is a big opportunity for Bangladesh who are playing sensible cricket over past couple of years. However, it will not be an easy task because they are against a team hot favorite to win the Trophy.

Bangladesh led by Mashrafe Mortaza will be high with confidence having reached semifinal for the first time in history of this tournament. Morale of the team definitely makes them a tough competitor after convincing victory over New Zealand.

Epic partnership between Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudulla in last game against New Zealand announced that they can win games from worst situation. Tamim Iqbal, left-hander is a consistent batsman though he was out for duck in last game.

Tamim Iqbal contribution has helped Bangladesh post good total but they lacked strong opening stand due to lack of support from other opener. So, Soumya Sarkar needs to pull up their socks if they are hoping to pull a surprise win against India.

Bangladesh bowlers displayed brilliant bowling in last game against New Zealand. Mosaddek Hossain was successful bowlers with three wickets in his three overs. Taskin Ahmed conceded 43 runs in his eight overs and registered two wickets to his name.

India would look to dominate further after defeating South Africa. They are clear favorite for this match but need to give their hundred percent on the field on given day.

It is hard pick any flaws, they are batting good, bowling as per requirement and fielding is of top class. Shikhar Dhawan is at top of highest run-scorer list with 271 runs. Virat Kohli rose up to top of ICC ODI batsman ranking which is certainly a big achievement.

Batsman are doing their job and bowlers too. Once again, Ashwin or Umesh who will play will be a question hovering in Indian camp. Ashwin played last game and provided India first breakthrough in the form of Hashim Amla.

Jusprit Bumrah was adjudged man of the match for his spell of eight overs conceding only 28 runs for two wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been impressive with his accurate line and length.

As far as batting are concern they are likely to stick with same players, only changes possible is over Ashwin. Meanwhile, Bangladesh are unlikely to tinker their winning combination which played against New Zealand.
